Angela Smith began her career as an articling student at Deloitte in Calgary. Throughout her twelve years with the firm, she worked with both the audit and tax teams and rounded out her tenure as a Senior Tax Manager in the Private Company Services group. Angela was a trusted advisor who worked closely with her clients through corporate reorganizations, the implementation of strategies associated with estate and succession planning, and the completion of corporate, trust, and personal tax compliance.

Angela then transitioned into her role as the Director of Tax and Accounting at Canadian Family Futures. As a multi-family office specializing in the successful transition of wealth over generations, she worked closely with high-net-worth families as their Chief Financial Officer. Angela focused on reducing complexity and preserving capital to achieve the family’s financial goals. She provided proactive management and oversight of her client’s financial affairs including tax planning, cash flow management, budgeting and credit needs as well as financial education for the next generation.

Angela graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Professional Accounting. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and has completed levels I and II of the In Depth Tax Program.

When she’s not at the hockey rink, football field or music studio with her young family, Angela enjoys travelling and spending time in the outdoors.
