Alex Da Costa is the Head of Investments of Prime Quadrant.

Alex is a member of our Executive Committee and chairs our Investment Committee.

Alex comes to Prime Quadrant with 21 years of experience working in Alternative Investments, doing both research and portfolio management. Before joining Prime Quadrant, Alex was Head of Hedge Fund Advisory at Pavilion Alternatives Group, a subsidiary of Pavilion Financial Corporation which was acquired by Mercer in November 2018. His primary role at Pavilion and then Mercer was providing customized discretionary and non-discretionary hedge fund solutions for the firm’s institutional clients. Prior to that he was the Head of Portfolio Construction in the Alternative Investment Group at ABN AMRO Asset Management before leaving to co-found SilverStreet Capital LLP in 2007. His responsibilities at those firms included the management of both funds of hedge funds and advisory hedge fund mandates.

Alex received a MSc in Finance from the University of Reading in 1999 and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton in 1994.
