Philanthropy is one of the most personal decisions a family can make. Yet, for many, the process of giving remains reactive. Triggered by an ask, shaped by obligation, or disconnected from the values and legacy a family is trying to build.
We believe that giving well is a skill. And like any skill, it improves with exposure, conversation, and the right community around you.
That’s a large part of why we’re proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of the inaugural Giving Games, hosted by Canada Gives at the Art Gallery of Ontario on May 28th, 2026.
An evening designed around learning
This is not a gala. There are no auctions, no appeals, and no pressure. The Giving Games is built around a different premise entirely: that the most valuable thing you can offer a thoughtful donor isn’t another opportunity to write a cheque, but the knowledge, perspective, and community to give with greater intention.
Attendees will spend the evening learning from some of North America’s leading philanthropists, including Christina Sorbara, Luke Gilgan, Mark Gerson, Patricia Saputo, and Moez Kassam, through candid panel discussions that pull back the curtain on how experienced donors think, evaluate, and decide.
The questions that often go unasked: What should I be asking charities before I give? How do I assess real impact? How do multigenerational families sustain giving over time? These are exactly the ones this evening is designed to answer.
The right room to be in
Many philanthropic families operate without ready access to peers who share similar goals or levels of commitment. This evening brings together a community of like-minded families in an environment built for conversation, curiosity, and connection.
We especially encourage attendees to bring family members and the next generation. There are few better ways to open a conversation about values and legacy than to experience philanthropy in action together.
Why we are involved
The families we work with are thinking beyond portfolios. They’re asking harder questions about purpose, impact, and what their wealth is ultimately for. The Giving Games is an evening that will leave attendees with practical insights, new relationships, and a deeper sense of what it means to give with intention and sophistication.
We hope you will join us.
