Dan Lavallee is a Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant.
He has over 25 years of experience in capital markets in investment banking and as an institutional investor.
Before joining Prime Quadrant, Dan was a Managing Director at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), where he invested in public and private equities in long-only and absolute-return portfolios. He built and managed teams that invested in fundamental equity, cleantech, and quant strategies, selected external managers, and was involved in macro strategy and asset allocation decisions.
Dan is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and he has completed the ICD Governance Essentials for Directors of Not-For-Profit Organizations. He graduated from Western University with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Dan served as Board Chair for CFA Society Toronto and Chair of its Governance and Membership Committees. He was also Vice Chair and a founding member of CFA Societies Canada. Dan coached competitive minor hockey for 13 years and is active on the Governance Committee for the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club.
Outside work, Dan enjoys hockey, cycling, golf, going to the gym, and spending time at the cottage with his family.
