Peter Friend is a Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant and has over 30 years of portfolio management and investment research experience. His background includes actively managing portfolios of both public and alternative assets.
Previously Peter was an Investment Specialist at Sprott Private Wealth, where he reviewed investments for the firm and its advisors. Prior to Sprott he had senior roles at two single-family offices in Toronto where his responsibilities as Chief Investment Officer included direct private equity investments, alternative partnerships, public equities and hedge fund investments. Peter was Vice-President and Director at TD Capital, leading investments in subordinated loans and private equity funds. He was one of the first investment professionals of TD’s private equity fund-of-funds which grew to become Northleaf Capital. Peter’s experience with alternative investments began at OMERS pension fund where he was Senior Portfolio Manager, managing the private equity portfolio.
Peter has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Queen’s University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Peter is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto CFA Society.
